I just stumbled across this link for playing around with Guild Wars 2 Guild Emblems online.

I figured this one worth linking, so that people could see the options and have a play with them. We won’t be able to create an emblem immediately (we have to research Level 1 Politics, then research the Guild Emblem before we could create one), but this gives people something to look at and think about while waiting for the game.

Emblems in Guild Wars 2 are used for:

• Banners – both Guild-spawned banners such as XP boosts, and for owned keeps in WvW
• To put on armour (needs Politics 2 and Armor Contract)
• To put on weapons (needs Politics 3 and Weapons Contract)

Armour skins include a “backpack” accessory (only ways to get one that we know of are through the Guild Armorer or being an Engineer). Unlike GW1, there are no Guild cloaks (that we know of – if they were added they’d likely share the backpack slot).
